Adopt-a-Cage

null

By adopting a cage, you’ll be helping to support critically injured or sick community cats that are currently at the Love Kuching cattery.

The Adopt-A-Cage programme offers a personal touch for cat angels who want to commit a fixed monthly contribution with Love Kuching Project!

Our fundraising volunteers will stay engaged with you every month so you know more about the cat – or cats, if you wish – that you’re helping us support.

Your donation will go towards:

null

Daily food and boarding needs

null

Veterinary and cat care supplies

null

Operation and infrastructure costs

Every month, you’ll receive an email from the cat currently living in your adopted cage!

Contribution rates start at $90 per month – but if you have another amount in mind, do feel free to chat with us!

You can stay with us for as long as you’re willing to commit – and opt out with just one month’s notice to us.

To donate, email us at fundraising@lovekuchingproject.org with the following details:

  • Your name

  • The cat you wish to donate to (you can be assigned any cattery cat if you have no preference!)

Meet the cats at the cattery

Wudi

Gender: Male
Age: estimated 6 years old
Lives near a Jalan Besar neighbourhood
Condition: Wudi suffers from a pelvic fracture that refuses to heal. Stir-crazy, he tends to initiate breakouts from his suite. He tries to claim the tallest spot at the cattery, if possible.

Hitam

Gender: Female
Age: estimated 10 years old
From an Ang Mo Kio neighbourhood
Condition: Currently being treated for liver problems and a throat ulcer. Hitam is a cat who can’t resist snuggling on strangers’ laps, and though her throat ulcers make it painful to eat, the Grande Dame still loves food and will not resist treats.

River

Gender: Female
Age: estimated 8 years old
From a Sengkang neighbourhood
Condition: River, like Pat, is also in for wound care and cage rest – she was found with a necrotic paw, which was saved with the efforts of the vets at Jireh! She just needs to recover from a toe amputation, and will be released when she’s healthy again.

charis-IMG_0176 sq

Charis

Gender: Female
Age: estimated 2 years old
From a Khatib neighbourhood
Condition: Charis is the mother of the Hong Heng kittens, and is at Love Kuching Project while she waits to be neutered. While still trying to grapple with motherhood (she’s still with Bookworm, whom she is very much attached to), Charis can be warm to volunteers and hoomans who come into contact with her.

Sky

Gender: Male
Age: estimated 10 years old
From the Nanyang Technological University campus
Condition: Sky is being treated for end-stage renal failure. Even though he should have an end-stage renal diet, he’s lost his appetite and his rescuers have decided to let him eat whatever he wants. He’s also being given a lot of fluid through subcut injections, though he’s taking it like a champ!

greiket-IMG_0139 sq

Greiket

Gender: Female
Age: estimated 8 years old
From a Sin Ming neighbourhood
Condition: Currently being treated for early-stage chronic kidney disease, Greiket is an incredibly gentle and polite cat. She won’t eat unless someone pets her, and meows at you quietly until she catches your attention! Greiket also has a suspected heart murmur, which we’ll have to investigate in a future vet visit.

pat-IMG_0158 sq

Pat

Gender: Male
Age: estimated 4 years old
From an Alexandra neighbourhood
Condition: Pat had a large wound on his paw and shoulder, which needed to be sewn shut and stapled. While he’s friendly towards both humans and cats, he doesn’t get along with Wudi; Pat also doesn’t mind being carried around. His rescuer has plans for him to find a forever home too!
